You can support sensitivity science
We are currently seeking donations for our 'surfing sensitivity' fundraising campaign. Donations will support our work in investigating high sensitivity in its complexity — including both positive and negative sides — and provide a better empirical basis for practical support.

Donations can be made via RadboudFonds, the official fundraising partner of the RadboudUMC.

What Your Donation Supports
Your contribution will fund the recruitment of a dedicated researcher who will work with Prof. Greven to launch a long-term programme on Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS).
Key focus areas include:
-
How high sensitivity relates to mental health, stress regulation, and well-being
-
Protective and risk factors for overstimulation and emotional exhaustion
-
Neuroscientific, genetic and behavioural mechanisms of sensitivity
-
Co-development of practical tools with individuals and organisations
-
Use of participatory methods to integrate scientific data with lived experience
The research will be conducted within the Department of Medical Neuroscience at Radboudumc.
Why surfing sensitivity?
We use “surfing” as a metaphor for navigating sensitivity. Sensitivity can feel like riding waves — intense, beautiful, but sometimes overwhelming. Science can help people learn to navigate these waves, using their sensitivity as a strength rather than feeling swept away by it.
